Dragonsong

This is a painting for a school tech project. It's a poster for a school play based on the book Dragonsong by Anne McCaffrey. I haven't read any of the Pern books, for your info. As you can see, the text isn't in place yet... need to figure out how to use InDesign properly first -_- I drew the dragon from scratch and the girl is from a reference photo I took of the starring student.

I'd love to improve more on my digital painting, this isn't really satisfactory but by far the most complex work I've attempted since getting a tablet last summer.

This is a very downsized version; the original is gigantic at around 5000x3500 px.

Duration: Hmmm.... worked on it in my free time and every other day for an hour in tech class for a couple weeks.
